Aegean Flotilla 2024, about the school.
A short introduction about The Aegean Flotilla 2024 and the sailing school instructors and why their background should inspire potential student’s confidence. The school has been around since 2006, its principal is Lt. Cdr Chandler a retired Royal Naval officer. The instructors come from various European countries, Holland, Greece and Great Britain. They are all qualified instructors who make their living teaching students about sailing and sailing professionally in countries all around the world.
The school has organized various Flotillas, in Scotland where we sailed the Islands and visited Distilleries, quaint fishing harbours and breathtaking Castles. We have also run a Flotilla to the South coast of England, along the Cornish Coast.
Our 18 years of experience in Greece on the Aegean side of the country has allowed us to run Flotillas on many occasions. We have a large selection of yachts to offer, from 35 ft yachts perfect for a couple to larger 45 and 50 ft yachts suitable for larger groups or extended families.

Choose the yacht that fit's your needs..
Choosing a yacht for your flotilla adventure is relatively easy. You can do it by cabin or by the number of people in your party.
A couple may require a smaller yacht perhaps one of our 33 or 34ft yachts. They come with 2 sleeping cabins and a full galley+ saloon and a private head.
Alternatively, you may be a large group of 6 friends and require a 3-cabin yacht or maybe a 4-cabin yacht. All the yachts for the Flotilla are Jeanneau’s built after 2018.

FAQ
Is food and Fuel covered in the per person rate?
Food and fuel is extra and not included in the rate. A good guide as to what to expect for fuel, a 35 ft yacht will burn about 45 euros of fuel and larger 40-45ft will use about 60-65 euros. It all depends on how much you motor.
How much sailing do we do each day?
Each day expect to sail between 4-5 hours, depending on wind. Some of the distances are +20nm so at 6 knts it may take a little longer.
What ASA courses can be obtained during the cruise ?
We offer 3 courses you can take any 1 of them and earn a certification. ASA 101, ASA 103, ASA 104. Teaching books will be sent to you before you come on the flotilla, an instructional fee would be charged of 500euro, for each course.
Can a couple handle a 34-35ft yacht?
All our smaller yachts are easy to handle. On deck you have a furling 110% genoa, and full battened mainsail. All yachts are wheel steered. Below decks 2 cabins for sleeping one forward and one aft. A complete Galley, good sized head and comfortable salon, plus a good chart table with GPS and sailing instruments.
Can we have a Captain for our yacht if no one has a license ?
We would be happy to arrange for one of our instructors or Skippers to accompany you on your yacht. Unfortunately, it would be an added cost.
Do we have to follow the lead boat to the next destination?
No, its not neccsary, the lead boat is there for your safety and to help you with docking, and any other concerns you may have during the week. You are free to sail on your own to the next port. Generally we do like to see all yachts tied up by 6-7pm.
